As I mentioned before, I’m in a writing group. Four of us meet every few weeks to share new writing samples, offer ideas and support each other on projects. One of the members got a rejection letter recently and another member responded by saying, “I think this puts you farther down the patch of being a professional…there are no professional writers that have not received piles of rejections.” I think that can be extended to pretty much any profession, can’t it? From writing to pitching and from new business opportunities to job leads, everyone has experienced rejection in some form or another. But, at the end of the day, doesn’t it all seem to work out? I think this link shows that rejection doesn’t always mean the end of an opportunity. Hopefully, it can provide inspiration out there to someone who needs a little this morning.
